Since 1905, the Dryades YMCA has been an integral part of New Orleans and the greater metropolitan area by providing thousands of youth and their families meaningful opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive. As we embrace our new look and presentation, be assured that our cause-driven mission to help people develop character, competence and commitment while building strong kids, strong families and strong communities is unwavering.

The Dryades Y will always be for youth development as we nurture the potential of children and teens in our Afterschool, Charter School, Teen Leadership, and Summer Enrichment programs.

We always will be for healthy living as we partner with school districts and recreation agencies across the parishes to engage people of all ages in the areas physical activity, nutrition, and well-being.

We always will be for social responsibility as we, with our partner organizations, provide opportunities to give back and support our neighbors as they acquire the necessary skills to become self-sufficient and journey along the paths out of poverty.

The Dryades Y is dedicated to building healthy, confident, connected and secure children, adults, families and communities in New Orleans and the Metro region. Every day our impact is felt when an individual makes a healthy choice, when a mentor inspires a child and when our community comes together for the common good.
